Window graphics are mobile signs that are a cost-effective way of advertising your business. Whether you run a commercial or retail business, window graphics can be an excellent addition to your marketing strategies. Currently, many store owners use window graphics to attract potential customers and create brand awareness. You too should make the most of this outdoor marketing option.
So if you want to use window graphics for your business, here is a step-by-step guide for installing these mobile signs perfectly.
Step 1: Measure the Window
Firstly, measure the window you want your window graphics to be on before you design and apply your window graphic. Measure the height and width of your window and mark the centre point of the window where you want to apply the graphic.
Step 2: Have a Trial
Once you have decided the position to apply the graphic and designed it, do a trial to know if the measurement is correct by taping the corners of the graphic. Don’t stick the graphic on the window as it is only a trail step. You may ask for someone’s assistance to look at the window graphic from a distance if it is properly visible and rightly angled.
Step 3: Clean the Surface
Clean the surface once you are confident with the positioning of the graphic. The window needs to be adequately cleaned to avoid bubbles or wrinkles when you stick your graphic. Remove any bumps or debris that can ruin the window graphic.
Caution: Using an ammonia-based cleaning product can also cause bubbles under the window graphic. Hence, avoid using such a cleaner and use simple soap and water or damp cloth instead.
Step 4: Remove the Liner
Remove the backing of your window graphic till the middle. Do not touch the sticky layer once the protective layer is removed as it will only reduce the adhesiveness of the sticker.
Step 5: Apply the First Half First
Lightly spray the surface of the window and lower the half over the freshly sprayed fluid. Firmly apply using the right squeegee from the centre, up and outwards, and down and outwards. Once the first half is installed, remove the remaining backing paper and do the same with the rest of the graphic.
Step 6: Cut the Excess Material
When you are satisfied and have successfully applied the window graphic without any bubbles or wrinkles, remove the tape applied on corners of the graphic. Cut any excess material of the window graphic. Squeegee the sides again and the corners of the graphic.
Now stand back and enjoy the hard work that you have put in.
Although it may seem like an easy job to do, it’s better to hire professional outdoor marketers to install window graphics with precision and avoid any mistakes.
